Use of Force Review: Practical Application for Supervisors and Command Staff
Review force incidents through body-camera evidence, human performance, perception and reaction time, policy, bias, and defensible supervisory analysis.
Course Overview
Practical Context Before the Next Decision.
A use-of-force review should do more than compare a report to a policy paragraph. This course helps supervisors and command staff examine the complete incident, including body-camera and other video evidence, officer and subject actions, perception and reaction time, human performance, articulation, policy, training, and potential bias. Participants work through the questions that strengthen an administrative review and learn to identify gaps without substituting hindsight for the information available in the moment. The emphasis is on consistent, fair, and defensible supervisory analysis.
