Public-safety leadership is inseparable from the effects of trauma, chronic stress, critical incidents, organizational pressure, and the personal burdens employees carry into work. This course gives supervisors and command staff a practical framework for leading people through those realities while maintaining standards. It examines how stress can influence communication, trust, performance, conflict, and decision-making, and how leaders can respond without becoming clinicians or lowering expectations. The emphasis is on consistent leadership practices that improve awareness, communication, accountability, and resilience across the organization.
