Aspirant Consulting Group is proud to announce the addition of John F. Bobik as an Accreditation Specialist.
Captain Bobik (ret.) brings more than thirty years of law enforcement experience, most recently serving with the Cape May Police Department in Cape May County, New Jersey. Throughout his career, he held a wide range of assignments across patrol, supervision, training, and executive leadership, retiring at the rank of Captain in March 2026.
During his tenure, Bobik served in multiple leadership roles, including Patrol Supervisor, Operations Commander, Administrative Commander, and Internal Affairs Supervisor. His experience provides a comprehensive understanding of both day-to-day operations and agency-level administration, allowing him to effectively bridge policy, accreditation, and operational realities.
Bobik has significant experience in accreditation, having served as his agency’s Accreditation Manager and leading the department through initial accreditation and three successful re-accreditation cycles. His work focused on maintaining compliance, managing documentation, and preparing for on-site assessments, ensuring the agency consistently met professional standards.
In addition to accreditation, Bobik played a key role in training and professional development, instructing both recruits and in-service personnel in areas including defensive tactics, firearms, radar operation, baton use, and domestic violence response. He also served in specialized assignments with the County Fatal Accident Team and Regional SWAT Team, supporting coordinated and high-risk operations.
Bobik holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Justice from the State University of New York at Oswego and an Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice from SUNY Broome Community College.
At Aspirant, Bobik will support accreditation services, compliance review, and assist agencies in navigating the accreditation process. His addition strengthens Aspirant’s ability to deliver experienced, practical, and operationally grounded consulting services to public safety agencies.
