Aspirant Consulting Group is pleased to announce that James Krizek has joined the firm as an Accreditation Specialist. Lieutenant Krizek brings more than two and a half decades of law enforcement experience, with a career spanning patrol operations, supervision, executive administration, accreditation management, and leadership development.
Lieutenant Krizek joined the Fair Lawn Police Department in 2000 and has served in a wide range of operational, supervisory, and command roles throughout his career. As a Patrol Officer, he served as a D.A.R.E. Officer, Field Training Officer, Bicycle Patrol Officer, and Honor Guard member. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2010, serving as a Patrol Squad Supervisor, and later promoted to Lieutenant in 2017 as a Patrol Squad Commander. Since 2018, he has served as the department’s Administrative Lieutenant.
In his current role, Lieutenant Krizek is responsible for serving as the department’s Accreditation Manager and overseeing the Community Policing Unit, Traffic Safety Unit, and Communications Center. He also serves as the Field Training Program Coordinator, Police Licensing Administrator, Domestic Violence Liaison Officer, and Internal Affairs Investigator, providing broad oversight across critical operational and compliance functions.
Lieutenant Krizek also served with the Bergen County Rapid Deployment Force from 2006 through 2021, holding assignments as a Mobile Field Force Operator, Squad Leader, and Platoon Leader. From 2018 to 2019, he served as an Executive Board Member of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Field Training Officers.
From 2023 through 2026, Lieutenant Krizek served as an Accreditation Assessor for the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Accreditation Program, completing more than 50 accreditation assessments. This experience provides him with a deep, assessor-level understanding of accreditation standards, documentation, and on-site evaluation expectations.
Lieutenant Krizek is a graduate of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership Academy and the Leadership Program for Middle Management. He has completed the FBI LEEDA Leadership Trilogy, the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice High Performance Leadership course, and the Penn State Justice and Safety Institute Leadership and Command Course. He also holds the designation of Accredited Command Executive through the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.
